Updating Our Company Reviews Section

Earlier this year, we examined eighteen important companies that focus on providing software-as-a-service packages to political clients, and launched our premium section, the Consumer Guide to Software-as-a-Service Providers. A few months later, after some major changes in the software-as-a-service landscape -- especially the merging of Convio and GetActive -- we're updating our reviews and ratings.

The guide features detailed profiles of each company that describes their different approaches, software services, and strengths, and gives examples of their clients.

It also highlights user ratings of their software products, level of customer service, and the fairness of their pricing. The current ratings are culled from a survey we sent out at the end of 2006; we're now conducting a new survey to update those ratings.

If you use any of these companies (you can go to the company reviews page to see a list of companies we review) please fill out our survey. It will be a big help to your peers, who are always looking for the best vendors, and the companies themselves will benefit from this kind of feedback.

Just a comment on the list. It might be better to scrap CivicSpace and replace it with Drupal. (Or add a separate entry)

CivicSpace used to be in the game of providing a distribution of Drupal that was geared towards political activism, now their primary focus is on providing a hosted service that can be configured to your desires and rolled out in a turnkey fashion. http://www.civicspacelabs.org/services_main

Even with that service being provided, its just value added, the base product is a framework and is often used by everyone from presidential campaigns to this site :)
