ACORN is attempting to fundraise off of its woes. Calling last week "the hardest week in the history of ACORN," an email from CEO Bertha Lewis tracks the evolution of the crisis. "Congress cut funding we use to help families with a range of affordable housing issues in the middle of the worst housing crisis since the Great Depression," writes Lewis. "And they did it because Fox News and the right wing smear machine told them to do it."
Well, whadda you know. It turns out that Sarah Palin is just killing it on Facebook. Reports Politico's Andy Barr: "Relying almost exclusively on social media to get her message out, Palin has managed to carve out her own high-profile place in the national health care debate, on energy policy and on tort reform."
