There are a wide variety of conferences and events that touch upon the "policy not politics" side of democracy and governance. Topics ranging from bandwidth and mobile to deliberation to the next presidency. I'll track what I hear about on this calendar. Leave a comment or send me a note if you know of an event that should be included.
New this week we've got:
- Larry Page from Google will be speaking on their broadband strategy tomorrow in Washington DC organized by New America Foundation. They are offering a live web cast
- If wireless is your thing, check out the International Summit for Community Wireless Networks 2008 next week, also in DC
- Netsquared's N2Y3 is also next week at the Cisco Systems Conference Center, San Jose, California. It is too late to register for this one. Anyone know if they will have live video?
- The National Conference for Media Reform is June 6-8 in downtown Minneapolis
- MobileActive08 isn't until October in South Africa, but they are looking for participants now
- of course, the biggie event in June is the Personal Democracy Forum 2008: Rebooting the System, June 23-24 in New York City with an exciting
lineup of panels and speakers.
