Michael Simon is Co-founder & CEO of Elucd, a govtech technology startup backed by Y Combinator and Omidyar Network and based in New York City. Elucd partners with cities to improve policing by implementing new systems of performance management centered around measuring and improving community trust of police – starting with New York City.
Previously, he established and managed the first-of-its-kind in-house analytics department for Barack Obama’s groundbreaking campaign for President of the United States, served in the Obama Administration, where he worked on the Affordable Care Act, and founded HaystaqDNA, a data science consultancy.
Michael is a regular commentator on data, politics, and privacy. He received his law degree and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan. His partner, Liz Simon, is General Counsel at General Assembly, and his newborn son, Levi, is adorable and recently started sleeping through the night.
